M545x RRV
The M545X-RRV is a completely unique road-rail excavator with power far beyond its weight class.
The M545X can truly give access all areas and can be railed and de-railed anywhere on the line and on any gradient due to retaining its spider excavator capabilities. With the M545X it is possible to travel to the work point by rail, de-rail and climb up/down the adjacent bank where the machine can be stay for the duration of the works. No third party access is required to railway owned land and no expensive access roads need be built.
With a rated towing capacity of up to 92 tonnes, all equipment and supplies can be delivered by rail to the work site ensuring that costs are kept down and profitability remains high.
Featuring full RCI, Direct Rail Wheel Braking and many other features, the Menzi Muck M545X RRV is compliant with the requirements of the RIS 1530:7.1 standard for On-Track Plant in the UK.

45RD RRV Rail Dumper
The Menzi 45RD road-rail dumper is the most powerful dumper on the market for its size. With 102hp this hydrostatic friction drive unit ensures fast and safe delivery of materials to the worksite by rail and also outstanding off-road capability and speed. Engine output is over 30% higher than comparable machines and the hydrostatic transmission makes driving on both road and rail smooth, seamless and simple.
The 45RD is fitted as standard with a 180 degree swivel skip with a high tipping angle operated by a powerful check-valve protected Menzi double-acting cylinder.
The skip is available with a variety of accessories including cement delivery chutes and ballast elevators, ensuring that material can be placed exactly where required by the operator, first time, every time.

SEVE 4x4 driven rail trailer
The Seve 4x4 driven rail trailer is unique throughout the world with its self-railing capability and powerful traction drive. Designed primarily to work in conjunction with the M585 RRV, this rail trailer is fitted with pneumatic road wheels featuring hydraulic lift, allowing the trailer to be railed quickly and efficiently whilst connected to the excavator, even when loaded. The high-lift wheel system gives enormous clearance meaning that this rail trailer can be re-railed at most access points, even without a crossing point. When in gauge the powerful 4x4 hydrostatic drive system gives an enormous 6000kNm of driving force and the inboard disc brakes ensure a huge stopping force is automatically applied. Combined with the M585 RRV this unit gives a highly versatile, high performance 8 wheel drive, 8 wheel braked road-rail unit and combine the highest levels of safety and productivity.
