- Service Manager
- Reporting to Senior Management, the sucessful candidate will assist and oversee our team of both workshop based and field service engineers to ensure the timely and accurate completion of scheduled and emergency repair works, overhauls and refurbishments and other major projects.
- The sucessful candidate will ensure accurate data and feedback from all works and will have experience with cost control and projection, warranty handling and work scheduling.
- Attention to detail and a desire to work at the highest level whilst simultaneously getting the very best from all available resources is a key attribute in this role.
- Excellent communication skills are required as is the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with our highly valued customers, ensuring that they are continually recieving the highest possible level of service.
- Product training and familiarisation will be given on an ongoing basis across our diverse range of high quality brands. A willingness to travel for such training is required.
- This role would suit a candidate with prior experience in agricultural/forestry/construction plant or commercial vehicle engineering and who has a good understanding of the seasonal pressures which many of our customers face.
- Field Service Engineer
Skilled Field Service Engineer/Mobile Service Technician required to support cutting edge equipment nationwide.
Working nationwide from our base in the Lake District, this role involves supporting our customers with the service and repair of advanced equipment along with the installation, setup and calibration of harvesting, drilling and mulching and other hydraulic attachments and tiltrotators. This role would suit a qualified, experienced, skilled and methodical person looking to advance their career.
This is a role providing national coverage and entails an element of working away and would suit a candidate with prior experience in the forestry/construction plant or agricultural engineering industries.
- Service Technician/Engineer
- Working alongside our existing technicians, the successful candidate will be carrying out the service, repair, diagnostics, inspection and PDI of both new and used specialised construction, forestry and industrial equipment in our Kendal workshops.
- We are looking for ambitious technicians who work to high standards and want to be a part of an ever growing team. Ongoing training will be provided but it would be preferable if the candidate was qualified to a minimum of NVQ L2 or equivalent in a related area.
- This role would suit a candidate with prior experience in the forestry/construction plant or agricultural engineering industries.
- Spare Parts/Stores Person
- Based in our Kendal workshops this role involves inventory control, storing, cataloguing and distributing parts from stores accurately and promptly to meet both our in-house demands and those of our customers.
- The role involves the organisation and allocation of components and the handling of both internal and customer requests from initial enquiry to distribution and invoicing.
- This role will involve driving company vehicles to collect and deliver items throughout our supply chain and customer base.
- The ideal candidate will be computer literate, have a good grasp of spreadheets and online systems, be highly organised and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with spare parts books/systems, parts and technical drawings would be a distinct advantage, as would experience in a similar role in an automotive related industry. A full driving licence is required and a fork-lift truck qualification would be advantageous.
- Welder / Fabricator
- Based in our Kendal workshops with occasional site work required, this role involves the fabrication, engineering and often fitting of various production and bespoke components to meet both our in-house demands and those of our customers.
- The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least NVQ L2 in welding and have experience of all general fabrication and engineering shop machines and equipment including cutting, punching, folding, rolling and bending equipment.
- Attention to detail, a desire to produce quality work and an ability to record/document your operations would all be excellent attributes.
- Familiarity with technical drawings and CAD packages would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of, or a willingness to be involved in component coating and preparation. Some basic manual machining skills necessary.
- Plant and Commercial Spray Painter and Refinisher
- An exciting role either working within or managing a small custom paint shop specialising in bespoke plant and commercial refinishing.
- Based in our Kendal workshops, this role involves the preparation, painting and finishing of part and complete machines, vehichles and various production and bespoke components to meet both our in-house demands and those of our customers.
- The ideal candidate will have acute attention to detail, be experienced in a range of painting methods and paint types including gloss variations, metallics and laquers, be able to follow instructions with great accuracy and have excellent housekeeping skills.
- This role involves all aspects of refinishing work, from preparation through to final presentation.
- This role additionally involves the general upkeep of the painting area, stock management of paints and consumables and the cordination of items and machinery in and out of the painting area.
- Experience with signwriting or vinyl application, polish-finishing and valeting methods would be advantageous but not necessary as training can be given.
- Apprentice/Trainee Mechanic/Engineer
- Based in our Kendal workshops, this role would suit a school leaver 16-18 years of age or an agricultural/forestry/engineering college student looking to further their experience in the workplace.
- The trainee would have involvement in all aspects of a busy engineering workshop, preparing, servicing and manufacturing equipment.
- Opportunity for further job/career progression and training is available, as is enrollment onto an apprenticeship scheme or similar.
