Exc@v8 create unique tunnel machine

Tunnelling machine specialist Exc@v8 have once again pushed the boundaries of subterranean construction with the 'TM' designated M525B walking excavator.
Working deep below London the specially configured Menzi Muck M525B-TM is a pivotal machine on a project with huge operating space and time constraints which will bring additional capacity to many underground train lines.
The M525B-TM has been uniquely configured and prepared by Exc@v8 to be able to construct escalator barrells and passageways in an uphill excavation format - something previously deemed exceptionally difficult.
This unique Menzi Muck machine features a 4-claw bi-directional chassis, uprated wrap-around FOPS cage, fire-suppression equipment and and fire-retardant oils along with 60,000 lumens of lighting equipment to name just a few features.
The Menzi Muck machine is working in the most arduous of conditions to ensure that yet another tunnelling project is delivered on schedule and on budget.

M325 becomes high production forest planter

UK & Ireland Menzi Muck dealer Exc@v8 have supplied yet another specialist machine to the forestry industry - this time in the form of a M325 which will be used to further advance the planting rates of young trees.
The M325 was favoured over its competitors due its high power output and low weight, superior speed, high standard specification and operator comfort amongst other reasons.
UK & Ireland sales & service provider Exc@v8 were able to supply the machine within the short given timescale and to the required specification with an array of S-Type buckets and attachments and a high quality 'grab tank' for the safe & environmentally friendly transportation of fuel and AdBlue around the forest sites.
Following on from a previous Menzi Muck machine, the M325 has successfully increased planting rates whilst reducing overheads and is proving to deliver above expectation pon a daily basis.

More SEVE shears

We are proud to have delivered another SEVE 1244 tree shear, this time to a forestry contractor tasked with removing dangerous and overhanging trees.
The SEVE 1244 is the ultimate limbing shear - initially designed for use by RRV's on the railway network where in-gauge stability can often be an issue, its light total weight of just 700kg and monocoque frame combined with powerful twin grapples and rated cutting capacity of 420mm at a mere 260 Bar pressure ensure that the 1244 ticks all boxes.
With three different adapter bracket possibilities which include a walking foot for mobile and tracked excavators, a 3-pin configuration to allow the unit to be spun through its own axis for high reach pruning and a standard 45 degree adapter for tiltrotator use, the 1244 can provide a safe and productive solution to every sectional dismantling and clearance problem.
At Exc@v8 we are very proud to work with the SEVE company and this unit is further testament to innovative solutions providing new opportunities.

NLS opt for OilQuick

NLS Contracts have joined the large number of UK contractors using the OilQuick system, only NLS have opted for the full OilQuick tiltrotator and top coupler.
This system allows the tiltrotator to be attached and removed from the comfort of the operators cabin and other hydraulic tools and attachments such as grapples and hammers to be attached in the same way.
By using OilQuick above and below the tiltrotator, tools and attachments including the tiltrotator itself can be interchanged quickly, easily and safely leading to a large boost in productivity and an equally large saving in time.
We look forward to installing many more OilQuick systems in the future.
